In Christ Let's Delve in 2012

 

The church of Christ is a growing, friendly church. We are a diverse congregation that reflects the fact that God's church is for all people. The crowd often ranges in age from newborn babies to those who have seen almost a century pass. Professionally, there are those from all walks of life - from blue collar to white collar to students to retirees. We have bankers, IRS employees, educators, office workers, managers, electricians, plumbers, retail employees, sales people, military, and everything in between. Educationally, we have those with several college degrees as well as those who may not have spent much time in school at all. Most fall into the high school graduate category, but none of that really matters because He wants us all to be His children. We are all equal in God's eyes. He is no respector of persons. The churches of Christ are diversified and work together as God's children (Acts 10:34-35).

 

 

   Pray for       our troops 

We make every effort to welcome you and make your visit feel like you are already part of the family. Don't leave to soon after the "Amen" is said; we want to meet you.

The auditorium is transformed for VBS each year to support the theme.


You will not be singled out during the service in any way except we do ask you to please write information on a visitor's card so that we can thank you for coming by mail. You will not be asked to make a "love offering"; in fact, no collections will be taken at all except during the Sunday morning service when the members of this congregation make their weekly contribution as an act of worship. Our visitors are not expected to participate.

 

 
Our youth are our future and the future of the church. Every summer we begin the journey toward Hoopler-Eblen Center located at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee to participate in Bible Bowl. Teams come from all over Tennessee and some bordering states as well, to answer Bible questions with Bible answers that they have been studying. there are no losers in this competition; there can only be winners.
 
We are always so thankful for the blessings that the Lord our God has given us.
 
We praise Him in different ways.

Minister
Terry has a charge, an electric charge. He has been charged  to preach the word and he does that with love and electricity. He is full of knowledge, Christian strength, humbleness, etc. But if you are expecting a "make you feel good" or a "tickling of the ears" lesson, you have the wrong congregation. Terry understands the needs of the congregation and preaches to us based on those needs, but not by using his own opinions, but God's inspired word. Yes, preachers are charged to deliver God's word; therefore, they must have a special charge about them - and he does.

 

Read the Minister's Charge:


“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
